Last updated: June 18, 2026

1. Preamble and Data Controller

This privacy policy aims to inform users of the SarahVousGuide.fr website how their personal data is collected and processed.

The data controller is:

  • Identity: Sarah Guibout-Chatelain
  • Address:
    2 Rue du Tertre
    41500 Avaray
    France
  • Contact Email: [email protected]

2. Hosting and Security (Cloudflare Pages)

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages infrastructure, a service provided by Cloudflare Inc.

Data collected by the host: For security and service reliability reasons, Cloudflare may collect traffic logs containing your IP address, operating system, and browser.

Purpose: This data is necessary to detect attacks (DDoS), ensure content distribution (CDN), and maintain site security.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f of GDPR) to ensure network and information security.

Data transfer: As Cloudflare is an American company, technical data may transit through servers located outside the European Union. Cloudflare relies on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCC) to ensure an adequate level of protection.

3. Cookie Management (Tarte au citron)

We use the "Tarte au citron" (tarteaucitron.js) cookie manager to allow you to control, at any time, which cookies you wish to accept or refuse.

During your first visit, a banner appears to collect your choices. You can modify these choices at any time by clicking on the cookie management button located at the bottom right of the page.

Types of cookies used:

  • Technical cookies (Essential): Necessary for the operation of the site (e.g., saving your cookie choices). They do not require consent.
  • Audience measurement cookies (Analytics): Subject to your consent (see section 4 below).

4. Audience Measurement and Analytics (PostHog)

We use PostHog Analytics, hosted on PostHog's European infrastructure (eu.posthog.com). Your data is processed within the European Union, in compliance with GDPR.

A. If you accept cookies (Consent)

If you click on "Accept all" in the Tarte au citron banner:

  • PostHog will place analytics cookies on your device.
  • This allows us to obtain detailed statistics (recognition of recurring visitors, browsing paths).

Legal basis: Consent (Article 6.1.a of GDPR).

B. If you refuse cookies or make no choice

If you click on "Refuse all" or continue without accepting:

  • PostHog will operate in cookieless mode.
  • No tracking cookies will be placed on your device.
  • Only aggregated and anonymous data may be collected (page views, overall traffic) without personally identifying you.
  • No individual profile is created for unidentified visitors.

Legal basis: Legitimate interest (Article 6.1.f of GDPR) for audience measurement strictly necessary for service improvement.

5. Data Retention Period

We retain your data only for the time necessary for the purposes pursued:

  • Analytics data (PostHog): Event data is retained for a maximum of 12 months.
  • Cookie choices (Tarte au citron): Your consent or refusal is stored for 6 months, after which the banner will be offered to you again.
  • Technical logs (Cloudflare): Retained for a limited period (generally less than 12 months) for security purposes.

6. Data Recipients

The collected data is intended only for:

  • The site editor (Sarah Guibout-Chatelain).
  • Our technical subcontractors (Cloudflare for hosting, PostHog Inc. for analytics — hosted on European infrastructure).

We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes.

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access and rectification You can request to know the data concerning you and have it corrected.
  • Right to erasure You can request the deletion of your data.
  • Right to object You can object to the processing of your data (particularly through the cookie banner).
  • Right to data portability.

To exercise these rights, you can contact us at: [email protected]. If you believe, after contacting us, that your rights are not being respected, you can file a complaint with CNIL (cnil.fr).
