The story awaits you
Come and immerse yourself with me in the spirit of Leonardo da Vinci in the garden of the castle where he died over 500 years ago. We will walk through this unique park to discover everything that filled his mind. You will then understand who he was, whether you are 7 or 97 years old!
We will talk about the history of a castle neighbouring that of the kings of France, which became the home of one of the world's greatest painters.
But Leonardo da Vinci did not just paint, he was also an inventor in many fields, so don't worry if you are not a fan of art history, you will find something to interest you. We'll talk in a fun way about everything that inspired this man throughout his life, so if you like painting, anatomy, architecture, civil engineering or even military engineering, you'll find something to interest you!
In this now private castle, you'll find life-size versions of Leonardo da Vinci's inventions, which makes it easier to understand what they must have looked like. Some of them are interactive and you can use them. And yes, for once, it's completely allowed, even recommended, to touch the objects on display in the gardens!
I will meet you in front of the château for a two-hour guided tour through the château grounds. The tour will end in the grounds, leaving you time to visit the interior of the Clos Lucé afterwards.
For a more comfortable visit, for groups of more than two people, I use a transmitter and headphone system. This will enhance your visit and improve your understanding.
Entrance tickets are not included. Please purchase them directly from the castle ticket website.
Bonus: If you like the town of Amboise, why not complete your visit with a tour of the Royal Château of Amboise, which I also offer. Add this tour to the other half of your day, as this other château is just a stone's throw away and has a chapel which now houses the tomb of Leonardo da Vinci.
An interactive tour
This tour is interactive, so you’ll need to participate by answering my questions and trying to understand how the machines work.
